Holding meetings in a virtual setting has facilitated the important business of ATA subgroups during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has also presented challenges with ensuring that decisions are made in a fair manner. While Robert’s Rules of Order are helpful in allowing a decision-making group to make decisions in a fair and efficient manner, how can Robert’s Rules be successfully applied in a virtual setting? This session will discuss Robert’s Rules of Order and their use in decision-making meetings (such as Annual General Meetings) generally, but will also explore considerations for ATA subgroups to successfully implement the principles of Robert’s Rules of Order in online meetings.
